Mission Edge is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Support Specialist to join our team. As an Academic Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing in-person academic support to students in grades 6-12, focusing on core subjects and mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one academic support to students in small group settings, promoting academic growth and development.
  • Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to address individual student needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with students to set and achieve academic goals, fostering a growth mindset and promoting self-confidence.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions.
  • Work in an autonomous environment, building strong relationships with students and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of teaching, tutoring, or coaching experience in mathematics and literature.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and adapting to individual learning needs.
  • High school diploma and at least 90-96 accumulated undergraduate credits required.
  • Genuine passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • Teaching credential not required, but preferred.
