Summary Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to deliver an outstanding experience to all patrons, both internal and external, while striving to surpass expectations. This includes overseeing, guiding, and assisting in the daily operations of the cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and enforce all operational policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety regulations and compliance guidelines.
  • Perform job duties in alignment with the mission and objectives of Loomis Communities, ensuring adherence to the Compliance and Ethics Program.
  • Exhibit respect and awareness of the diverse backgrounds of individuals served, staff, families, and other stakeholders, reflected in all interactions.
  • Provide efficient, professional, and responsive service to all customers, ensuring timely assistance and proper handling of requests.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor at all times.
  • Assist in coordinating resident and guest activities, functions, and promotions, while supporting departmental training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate billing information and supervise daily operations to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Promote resident rights and independence while performing assigned tasks.
  • Deliver quality services by executing culinary tasks in compliance with food safety standards, including food preparation and short-order cooking.

Qualifications:

Preferred Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:

Experience in customer service.

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to follow instructions provided in various formats, including written and oral.
  • Capable of addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Able to interact effectively with all residents, including those who may be emotionally distressed.
  • Skilled in tactfully engaging with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours when necessary.

Position Details:

This is a part-time position requiring 18 hours per week, including weekends.
