Position Overview:

US Oncology, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Full-time Senior Clinical Nurse to enhance our healthcare team. This role operates on a standard schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance with no weekend or holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, the Senior Clinical Nurse will:

  • Deliver professional nursing care in accordance with established national and organizational standards.
  • Evaluate patients' physical, psychological, and spiritual needs while participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support adherence to compliance programs, including ethical standards and business practices.
  • Plan, implement, and assess continuity of care based on established protocols.

Essential Duties:
The Senior Clinical Nurse will:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments through patient interviews regarding their current condition and medical history.
  • Identify patient and family educational needs, providing relevant instructional materials.
  • Oversee clinical operations and patient care processes.
  • Manage medication refill requests and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Coordinate consultations, diagnostic tests, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
  • Triag patient inquiries and document necessary information in patient charts.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Assist patients in accessing community resources.
  • Serve as a resource for LPNs, LVNs, and medical assistants.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • A valid RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of five years of nursing experience.

Work Environment:
