Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensing Surveyor Supervisor to join our team at the Arizona Official Website of State of Arizona. As a key member of our Public Health Licensing Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and overseeing the issuing of licenses to licensed facilities and providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct lower-level workers in the performance of their duties.
  • Assist with or determine the issuing of licenses to licensed facilities and providers, maintaining current licenses by ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Conduct initial and annual recertification/compliance inspections of marijuana facilities, sober living homes, group homes for the developmentally disabled, and other facilities regulated by the Department.
  • Correspond with the regulated community or with regulatory bodies, respond to technical questions from licensees, develop standards, and participate in rulemaking.
  • Provide technical assistance to providers and consumers.
  • Participate in and/or lead staff, advisory committee, and/or stakeholder organization meetings.
  • Oversee and/or review of quality systems by tracking documents, corrective actions, and other quality data.
  • Develop standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, and other performance-related metrics.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree and 3+ years experience as a surveyor/compliance officer OR Bachelor's degree and 3+ years experience in management or project management, or similar experience.
  • Must have driver's license and ability to travel statewide.
  • Must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to A.R.S. or must apply for a level one fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days after beginning employment.
  • Must obtain within 2 years of hire: CLEAR-Basic-National Certified Investigator and Inspector Training Certificate and CLEAR-Specialized-National Certified Investigator and Inspector Training Certificate.
