About the Role

Farnsworth Group, a leading engineering, architecture, and surveying firm, is seeking a highly skilled Professional Land Surveyor to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of surveying tasks, including boundary and topographical surveys, construction layouts, subdivision plats, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct boundary and topographical surveys to ensure accurate mapping and documentation
  • Oversee construction layouts to ensure precise placement of infrastructure and buildings
  • Prepare subdivision plats and descriptions to facilitate land development
  • Conduct right of way plats and descriptions to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Perform parcel legal descriptions and surveys to ensure accurate property boundaries
  • Conduct ALTA/ACSM land title surveys to ensure compliance with industry standards
Requirements
  • Licensure: 2+ years as a licensed Arizona Professional Land Surveyor
  • Proficiency with GPS, Robotic Total Station, and Data Collectors
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ARCGIS, and/or MicroStation
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Bluebeam
  • Ability to organize field notes and read construction plans
  • Experience performing boundary research and executing field staking
  • Strong math skills and valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional state licensures (New Mexico, Utah Professional Land Surveyor licenses a plus)
  • Drone and scanner experience a plus
  • OSHA 30-hour certification a plus
