About the Role

The Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (ADJC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Supervisor to make a positive impact on the lives of Arizona's youth. Reporting to the Clinical Director of Psychological Services, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services within our correctional facilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a team of mental health professionals, ensuring high-quality care for incarcerated youth.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine diagnoses and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address a range of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including correctional officers, social workers, and educators, to create a holistic support system for youth in our care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and treatment interventions.
  • Stay abreast of current best practices and advancements in the field of adolescent mental health.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid license to practice as a mental health professional in the state of Arizona.
  • Experience working with adolescents in a correctional setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
