Role Overview: The Lead Manager, Professional Engagement will be instrumental in formulating and implementing strategic initiatives to nurture robust relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), significant accounts, educational institutions, and professional organizations, supporting the Bausch + Lomb Pharmaceutical division. This role will report directly to the Executive Director of Professional Engagement, Bausch + Lomb Pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute KOL strategies to enhance and solidify productive relationships across the Bausch + Lomb Rx Portfolio.
  • Coordinate advisory boards in collaboration with the Director and Brand Leads to extract key insights that inform future marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Build and maintain strong connections with key healthcare professionals (HCPs), industry groups, associations, significant accounts, and educational institutions.
  • Provide comprehensive product information and serve as an expert on Bausch + Lomb Pharma's core brands, policies, and related business guidelines.
  • Act as the commercial lead for organizing all KOL and Brand activities at major ophthalmology and optometry congresses.
  • Collaborate within the Professional Engagement function and Brand Leads to oversee all promotional speaker program engagements.
  • Encourage HCP participation in educational events at various promotional opportunities.
  • Plan and conduct both in-person and virtual business meetings with clients aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify and achieve strategic goals that enhance Bausch + Lomb Pharma's standing within core KOL communities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with designated academic institutions.
  • Provide cross-functional support for KOL, key account, society, and academic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing; experience in ophthalmic and pharmaceutical sales is preferred.
  • Demonstrated career progression with roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team-oriented environment.
  • Proven capability to independently execute significant projects.
  • Strong skills in KOL development and relationship management, sales and marketing collaboration, and project planning and management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Competence in data analytics and interpretation.
  • Goal-oriented, self-driven, and a collaborative team player.
  • Capacity to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced business landscape.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, including overnight trips 35-50% of the time.

Compensation: As per New York City's salary transparency regulations, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range for this role.
