Job Summary

EAC Network, a leading social service agency, seeks a Family Engagement Specialist to join its Suffolk Family Treatment Court Supervised Visitation (SV) Program. This part-time position involves providing supervision of parent/child visits for families referred by Suffolk Family Treatment Drug Court.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home, community, and office-based supervision of visits to ensure productive and meaningful interactions between parents and children.
  • Attend regular training sessions to stay updated on current research and best practices in the field, and implement strategies and techniques learned.
  • Submit written progress reports as required by the Department of Social Services and/or Treatment Court.
  • Conduct intakes with new families referred to the program, assessing their needs and developing individualized plans.
  • Transport families to and from visits using agency vehicles or personal vehicles, ensuring safe and secure transportation for children.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with families, preferably in a social service or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with professionals from various disciplines.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and database software.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
