Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 12 Hours - Day Shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to assigned residents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments for all residents upon admission and continuously as per regulatory standards.
  • Exhibit proficiency in clinical skills as outlined in the Competency Verification and Training Checklist.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments within established timeframes, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Maintain knowledge of the therapeutic effects and potential side effects of all medications administered.
  • Procure necessary equipment and supplies to facilitate resident care.
  • Implement procedures for managing pressure ulcers, dehydration, malnutrition, incontinence, pain, and medication administration.
  • Perform glucometer testing and control monitoring accurately as per established procedures.
  • Utilize specific strategies to address behavioral issues and enhance residents' emotional well-being according to individualized care plans.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of resident care, including condition changes, admissions, discharges, and incidents, in compliance with policy.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, including audits and corrective actions as required.
  • Process physician orders promptly and communicate with physicians regarding resident care.
  • Participate in rounds with physicians and attend resident report sessions prior to shifts.
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and assist with education for residents and their families regarding care plans.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Maintain necessary certifications and licensure for the state of practice.
  • Possess knowledge of fundamental nursing skills and familiarity with medication effects.
