Position Overview: This full-time role involves delivering compassionate and efficient care to assigned residents, adhering to established standards and individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough nursing assessments for all residents upon admission and continuously as per regulatory requirements.
  2. Exhibit proficiency in clinical skills as outlined in the Competency Verification and Training Checklist.
  3. Ensure timely administration of prescribed medications and treatments, while adhering to infection control protocols.
  4. Demonstrate understanding of the therapeutic effects and potential side effects of all medications administered.
  5. Procure necessary equipment and supplies to facilitate resident care.
  6. Implement care strategies for managing pressure ulcers, dehydration, malnutrition, incontinence, pain, and medication administration.
  7. Accurately perform glucometer testing and control monitoring in accordance with established procedures.
  8. Utilize specific techniques to enhance resident mood and behavior as per care plans.
  9. Review and update documentation related to resident care as necessary.
  10. Employ the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system effectively, documenting all actions and changes in resident conditions according to policy.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including audits and corrective actions as assigned.
  12. Process physician orders promptly and communicate with physicians as required.
  13. Engage in resident report discussions prior to shifts, ensuring effective communication and observation of resident conditions.
  14. Respond promptly to resident call lights and assist with family education regarding resident care.

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with prior experience in a similar role preferred. Current licensure for the state of practice is mandatory. Knowledge of fundamental nursing skills and familiarity with medication effects is essential.
