TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants is a prominent entity in the realm of property risk management, currently seeking a Property Risk Consultant specializing in Fire Safety. This role is designed for candidates located in the United States and the European Union, offering the flexibility of remote work across various metropolitan regions.

We welcome applications from individuals in other locations, as our field engineers have the opportunity to work remotely and travel to client sites. Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass, but is not limited to:

  • Successfully completing the TÜV SÜD GRC onboarding training program.
  • Conducting comprehensive Loss Control Assessments for potential and existing clients.
  • Performing detailed plan reviews.
  • Managing your own workload effectively.
  • Developing technical expertise to address increasingly complex risk scenarios.

As you gain experience and proficiency, your responsibilities will expand to include:

  • Conducting property loss control assessments to identify exposures related to property and business interruptions, adhering to NFPA Standards and other relevant guidelines.
  • Formulating recommendations based on established standards, including loss estimates pre- and post-implementation.
  • Assessing automatic fire protection systems and water supply infrastructures.
  • Reporting on building construction, occupancy types, and potential hazards.
  • Estimating losses based on scenarios such as Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
  • Providing training and peer review for fellow consultants, serving as a technical resource.
  • Delivering services that encompass training, development of loss control programs, and interpretation of codes or regulations.
  • Preparing and presenting proposals, developing service instructions, soliciting client feedback, and compiling stewardship reports.
  • Engaging in project management activities, including special visits, plan reviews, and oral/written presentations to clients.
Candidate Profile

This position may be suitable for you if you:

  • Hold a four-year college degree or higher.
  • Exhibit discipline and motivation in managing assigned tasks.
  • Can apply technical knowledge to meet client needs and support business decision-making.
  • Are physically capable of climbing ladders, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs., stooping, crouching, crawling, and traversing catwalks.
