About the Role

Baldwin Risk Partners is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Risk Advisor to join our team. As a Commercial Risk Advisor, you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of commercial insurance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Sell new accounts and renew existing accounts in line with firm and individual goals.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, the service team, insurance company partners, and centers of influence.
  • Proposal and Presentation: Present proposals in a professional manner, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure understanding.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Communicate with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and service team in an articulate and effective manner.
  • Policy Sale and Administration: Finalize the sale and collect necessary documents, applications, etc., and brief the service team on the policy sale.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Develop prospects by becoming involved in community affiliations, attending insurance company partner-hosted seminars, building and maintaining relationships with industry contacts, engaging in networking events, and through referrals from current accounts.
  • Account Management: Develop information and recommendations for prospective accounts, present proposals, and adhere to firm policies and procedures for writing a new account.
  • Accuracy and Timeliness: Maintain a concern for accuracy, timeliness, and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients, the Firm, and Insurance Company Partners, to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry and underwriting criteria for insurance company partners represented by the firm to effectively communicate to all involved.
  • Community Representation: Positively represent the firm in the community and with our insurance company partners.
  • Process Improvement: Perform other functions as assigned by leadership and look for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes.
Requirements
  • Certification(s): None required; None preferred.
  • License(s): Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment required; Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment preferred.
