Position Overview:

The College of Arts & Sciences is seeking a meticulous and organized Business Office Administrator to oversee various administrative and human resources operations. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient payroll processes, managing staff onboarding and offboarding, and providing general administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Oversight: Manage the weekly payroll for approximately 300 staff and 400 students, ensuring accurate recording and approval of hours in the relevant systems. Collaborate with departments regarding additional hours and budget allocations.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Work alongside the HR Administration team to facilitate smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for staff, including managing HR communications and inquiries.
  • Management of Temporary Staff: Oversee the hiring and termination of casual and temporary employees, addressing specific needs for various departments.
  • Administrative Functions: Handle office supplies, conference room bookings, and financial processing, ensuring timely management of administrative tasks.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise student employees within the office, ensuring effective coverage and management of tasks.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in payroll management and HR administration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented with proficient problem-solving skills.
