The College of Fine Arts seeks an Administrative Coordinator for the School of Music. This position reports to the Manager of Student Services and works in tandem with a peer Administrative Coordinator to coordinate the administrative aspects of all academic departments including performance/applied/ensemble areas, music education, music theory/composition and musicology/ethnomusicology. Primary responsibilities include: support for the SOM Manager of Student Services, department chairs, curriculum and other faculty committees, all SOM faculty, guest artists and guest lecturers in the applied and ensembles areas; course scheduling in conjunction with the CFA Deans Office; coordination of graduate proficiency exams and doctoral exams; budgetary and office oversight including graduate assistants and work-study student supervision; interdepartmental and college communication; and website maintenance.

Required Skills

B.A./B.M. and one to three years of experience in an academic environment (higher education, school of music or conservatory setting preferred).
Familiarity with classical music necessary.
Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
Precise attention to detail.
Ability to follow complex instructions and work with complicated University systems.
