Position: Lead Coffee Production Specialist

OVERVIEW

Kaizen Lab Inc. is in search of a dedicated, self-aware, adaptable, and communicative Lead Coffee Production Specialist. This role involves overseeing the packaging of roasted coffee and preparing orders for various clients, including wholesale accounts and e-commerce customers. Additionally, this position entails roasting coffee and collaborating with our roasting and order fulfillment teams to ensure all orders are processed efficiently and accurately.

The work environment is dynamic, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration. The success of our production relies on the diligence and communication of each team member. Every individual's contribution is vital to the overall success of the team.

We manage numerous tasks and strive for operational efficiency while remaining flexible to the inevitable changes that occur throughout the workday. We approach our responsibilities with respect and understanding for our colleagues. Attention to detail is paramount, as the small aspects of our work make a significant difference. As a Lead Coffee Production Specialist, prior knowledge of our specific systems is not required; however, a commitment to personal growth and the collective success of the production team and the company is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhance the company culture and support business growth through self-reflection and ongoing personal development.
  • Participate in or lead improvement initiatives and projects as necessary.
  • Collaborate on the packaging and fulfillment of roasted coffee for all orders.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in the presentation and packaging of all orders.
  • Roast coffee according to established quality standards.
  • Accurately fulfill goods and merchandise for orders, coordinating with inventory management as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication across all departments.
  • Keep the production area and equipment clean and safe.
  • Assist in ordering production supplies as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills with the capacity to address issues as they arise.
  • Comfortable with manual dexterity for extended periods.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment.
  • Adaptable to changes in workload.
  • Ability to take direction while also working independently.
  • Strategic thinking with a big-picture perspective.

STRONGLY PREFERRED

  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is a plus.
  • Forklift certification is advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands of this position include regular attendance and the ability to work with hands and arms for extended periods. Candidates must be able to stand, lift, bend, and perform various physical activities, including lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.

CLASSIFICATION & SUPERVISION

This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position. The Lead Coffee Production Specialist will be expected to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
