OVERVIEW

Kaizen Lab Inc. is in search of a dedicated, self-aware, and adaptable Lead Coffee Production Specialist to oversee our coffee roasting operations. This role is essential in managing the packaging of roasted coffee and preparing orders for various clients, including wholesale partners and e-commerce customers. The Lead Specialist will also be responsible for roasting coffee and coordinating with different departments to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhance the overall culture and growth of the business by utilizing our Culture Guide for self-reflection and development.
  • Participate in or lead improvement initiatives and projects as necessary.
  • Collaborate on the packaging and fulfillment of roasted coffee for all orders.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in the packaging of all orders.
  • Roast coffee according to established quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Inventory Manager regarding order fulfillment.
  • Maintain strong interdepartmental communication.
  • Keep the production area clean and safe.
  • Assist in ordering production supplies as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues as they arise.
  • Comfortable with hands-on tasks for extended periods.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing workloads.
  • Ability to work independently while following directions.
  • Strategic thinking with a big-picture perspective.

STRONGLY PREFERRED

  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications.
  • Driver's license is a plus.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands of this position include the ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform various tasks for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

CLASSIFICATION & SUPERVISION

This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position. The Lead Coffee Production Specialist will work closely with the Head Roaster for guidance and support.
