Neuro Imaging Technologist PRN

Position Overview: At Cooper University Health Care, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services through our skilled professionals. Our team is at the forefront of clinical advancements, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technologies.
Role Summary: The Neuro Radiographer will play a crucial role in supporting the technological demands of intricate neurosurgical and neurologic diagnostic procedures within the Neuro lab and hybrid surgical suite. This position involves working with various imaging and navigation systems, including Brain Lab, Stealth, Fusion, Vision Sense, and VTI, to assist surgeons during complex head and spine operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess daily technology requirements based on scheduled procedures and ensure all equipment is prepared for use.
- Operate specialized imaging equipment and manage supplies necessary for diagnostic and interventional tasks.
- Conduct intra-procedural activities, including the operation of advanced equipment and monitoring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with radiologists and surgical teams to facilitate procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Perform quality assurance testing and maintain radiology equipment, addressing any service issues promptly.
- Manage the documentation and storage of imaging data, ensuring accurate record-keeping for all procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED; Associate's degree from an AMA-approved Diagnostic Radiology program.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Valid American Registry Radiology Tech license and NJ Radiology Tech License are mandatory.
- Proficiency in multiple imaging modalities and neuro navigation systems is essential.
Cooper's Neuroscience Unit features a 16-bed ICU and a cutting-edge Neuro Interventional Suite, integral to our Comprehensive Stroke Center.
