Job Summary:

Virtua Health is seeking a highly skilled Neurointerventional Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our neurointerventional team, you will be responsible for performing advanced neurointerventional procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive care to patients undergoing complex neurointerventional procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients closely during procedures and respond to any emergent situations effectively.
  • Handle a wide range of interventional devices, including microcatheters, guidewires, stents, and embolic agents, with precision and dexterity.
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment, such as angiography systems and other specialized devices, to capture high-quality images of the brain and blood vessels during procedures.
  • Implement radiation safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • Ensure adherence to rigorous quality assurance and safety protocols, including radiation safety measures, infection control, and sterile technique, to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
Requirements:
  • 1 year experience in interventional technology or related experience. Neuro Interventional experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy/terminology and intervention equipment
Education and Certifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the State of New Jersey DEP.
  • Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) Certified or Graduate of a formal radiation technologists' program with RT (R) (VI certification is preferred within two (2) years of date of hire).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) from the American Heart Association required
