Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

The Neuro Radiographer will play a crucial role in supporting the technological demands of intricate neurosurgical and neurological diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Neuro lab and hybrid surgical suite.

This position involves hands-on engagement with various imaging and navigation systems, including Brain Lab, Stealth, Fusion, Vision Sense, and VTI, which assist surgeons during complex head and spine operations, as well as ultrasound and injector technologies for vascular and neurological diagnostics.

Key Duties
  • Assess daily technology requirements based on scheduled procedures and ensure all equipment is prepared and functional.
  • Operate specialized imaging equipment and maintain familiarity with necessary supplies for diagnostic and interventional tasks.
  • Monitor patient status and safety throughout procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing in line with departmental standards.
  • Support neurosurgery and ENT operating room cases utilizing advanced imaging systems.
  • Perform registration routines and manage data from navigation systems, ensuring accurate imaging plans.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with an Associate's degree from an AMA-approved Diagnostic Radiology program. Required certifications include BLS from the American Heart Association and licenses from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the state of New Jersey.

Proficiency in multiple imaging modalities and neuro-navigation systems is essential for success in this role.
