Position Overview

The Laxmi Hotel is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our cleaning team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts inspections of daily cleaning tasks for assigned rooms, hallways, storage spaces, and communal areas to ensure that housekeeping duties are executed to the highest standards. This includes verifying that bed linens are changed, towels are replenished, and bathrooms are thoroughly sanitized, along with ensuring that all areas are vacuumed, mopped, dusted, and that daily projects are completed.
  • Provides assistance in cleaning areas that do not meet inspection standards.
  • Maintains brand and company standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization throughout the hotel.
  • Educates housekeeping personnel about company and brand standards in a professional manner and reports any ongoing issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Participates in all areas of the housekeeping department as needed.
  • Ensures that lost-and-found items left by guests are recorded and securely stored on a daily basis.
  • Checks for damaged or missing items and addresses maintenance issues by submitting work orders.
  • Alerts the Housekeeping Manager or General Manager of any safety hazards or unsafe practices.
  • Assists with the monthly inventory of housekeeping supplies and informs the Housekeeping Manager of low stock levels.
  • Helps with inventory deliveries, including unpacking and restocking.
  • Communicates professionally with colleagues, management, and guests.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a housekeeping role within a hotel setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of cleaning agents and best practices in housekeeping.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Capable of motivating team members to deliver their best work in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain adaptable in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
