Position Summary

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding all operational aspects of support services within the department. This position involves coordinating the activities of frontline staff and acting as a bridge between administration and unit departments to ensure the highest service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and regularly review operational standards and procedures for all personnel.
  • Plan and manage work schedules and service areas to guarantee effective service delivery.
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including interviewing and onboarding new team members.
  • Provide orientation, training, and supervision for all supervisory and housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct routine inspections and offer recommendations for facility improvements.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing goals, achievements, and future objectives.
  • Facilitate ongoing staff education and training initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, administration, and other departments.
  • Coordinate external services such as pest control, window cleaning, and waste management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in support services, military, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance.
  • 1-3 years of preferred experience in housekeeping, maintenance, or janitorial services, with prior management experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Capability to maintain organization in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, adaptability, and leadership qualities.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract management and office procedures.
  • Proficient in digital tools and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
