Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping and laundry departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean, sanitary, and well-maintained, contributing to the overall well-being of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Departmental Oversight: Supervise and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure that all areas of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and laundry, are clean and well-maintained, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Staff Management: Train, schedule, and evaluate housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory and order supplies for housekeeping and laundry needs, ensuring that all necessary materials are available and in stock.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and implement effective cleaning and laundry procedures, ensuring that all staff are trained and equipped to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle and resolve any issues or complaints related to housekeeping and laundry services, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure a high standard of service for residents, promoting a culture of teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry management, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve high standards.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and other stakeholders.
