Position Overview

The Laxmi establishment is in search of a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our cleaning team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough inspections of daily cleaning tasks for assigned guest rooms, hallways, storage areas, and communal spaces to ensure that housekeeping duties are executed to the highest standards. This includes verifying that bed linens are refreshed, towels are exchanged, and bathrooms are sanitized, along with ensuring that all areas are vacuumed, mopped, dusted, and that daily projects are finalized.
  • Provides assistance in cleaning areas that do not meet inspection criteria.
  • Maintains brand and company cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness standards throughout the facility.
  • Trains housekeeping personnel on company and brand protocols in a professional manner. Reports any ongoing issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Participates in all aspects of the housekeeping department as required.
  • Ensures that lost-and-found items left by guests are recorded and securely stored on a daily basis.
  • Identifies damaged or missing items and maintenance concerns, addressing them or submitting a work order as necessary.
  • Alerts the Housekeeping Manager or General Manager about any safety risks, conditions, or unsafe practices and procedures.
  • Assists with the monthly inventory of housekeeping supplies and informs the Housekeeping Manager of low stock levels.
  • Helps with the receipt and organization of inventory deliveries.
  • Communicates professionally with colleagues, management, and guests.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a housekeeping role within a hospitality setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of cleaning agents and best practices in housekeeping.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing pressure effectively.
  • Capable of motivating team members to deliver their best work in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Skilled in multitasking and maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
