Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at the Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites Cincinnati Downtown. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and support to housekeeping staff to ensure they meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Oversee the daily cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to the highest standards, including ensuring that bed linens are changed, towels are replaced, bathrooms are properly cleaned, and floors are vacuumed and mopped.
  • Inventory and Supplies: Conduct monthly inventory of supplies and ensure that all room attendants' carts and stock rooms are kept orderly.
  • Guest Services: Ensure that guests' property left behind is logged and stored in a secure location daily.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Take action on any maintenance issues in guest rooms to ensure the hotel's established quality standards and ensure guest satisfaction. Monitor working conditions and report any observed or known safety hazards to management.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Advanced knowledge of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping best practices. Excellent attention to detail and high levels of successful communication. Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure, motivate co-workers effectively, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum weight of approximately 20 lbs, stand for long periods of time, kneel, bend, and crawl, squat, and crouch.
Working Conditions

Employees in this position work primarily indoors. The candidate must be able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
