Job Overview

Salary:
The Laxmi Hotel is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our cleaning team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts inspections of daily cleaning tasks in assigned guest rooms, hallways, storage spaces, and communal areas to ensure that housekeeping duties are executed to the highest standards. This includes verifying that bed linens are changed, towels are replenished, and bathrooms are thoroughly sanitized, along with ensuring that all areas are vacuumed, mopped, dusted, and that daily projects are completed.
  • Provides assistance in cleaning areas that do not meet inspection criteria.
  • Maintains the cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness standards set by the brand and company throughout the hotel.
  • Trains housekeeping staff on company and brand standards in a professional manner, and informs the Housekeeping Manager of any ongoing concerns.
  • Participates in all aspects of the housekeeping department as needed.
  • Ensures that lost-and-found items left by guests are recorded and securely stored on a daily basis.
  • Monitors for damaged or missing items and maintenance issues, taking corrective action or submitting work orders as necessary.
  • Alerts the Housekeeping Manager or General Manager of any safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices and procedures.
  • Assists with the monthly inventory of housekeeping supplies and informs the Housekeeping Manager of low stock levels.
  • Helps with the receipt and organization of inventory deliveries, including unpacking and restocking.
  • Communicates professionally with colleagues, management, and guests.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a housekeeping role within a hotel setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of cleaning agents and best practices in housekeeping.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Capable of motivating team members to deliver their best work in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain adaptable in a high-stress environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
