Position Summary:

We're seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Business Development Director - Government Contracting. As a key leadership team member, you will lead strategic initiatives to identify and secure new business opportunities within the government sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand the company's presence in the government contracting market.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key government agencies, industry partners, and stakeholders to facilitate business growth and collaboration.
  • Proposal Leadership: Lead the proposal development process, including coordinating with internal teams, preparing and reviewing proposals, and ensuring compliance with government requirements and standards.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and closing deals with government clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as Operations, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on business development activities, performance metrics, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in government business development capture and proposal development, preferably selling information technology services.
  • Proven track record of winning government contracts and driving business growth.
  • Military experience is a plus.
