Position Overview:

Compensation: $15 per hour plus tips

The Mixologist is tasked with crafting food and beverage orders, serving drinks and meals to guests in accordance with state and federal age regulations, and managing lounge/bar operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of three to six months in a related field, or a suitable combination of training and experience.
  • Must possess an Alcohol Awareness Certification in compliance with state regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language is required.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly, developing alternative solutions even in emotionally charged situations.
  • Capability to handle challenging customer interactions, responding quickly to service requests and needs.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, treating all individuals with respect and consideration.
  • Familiarity with and ability to follow established policies and procedures accurately.
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols; responsible for reporting unsafe conditions and proper use of equipment.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the work schedule, including potential variations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify customer identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol sales.
  • Present menus, respond to inquiries, and take food and beverage orders from patrons or serving staff.
  • Prepare a variety of drink orders, including wine, liquor, and beer.
  • Prepare appetizers and food items following established recipes and standards.
  • Monitor seating arrangements in the lounge/bar area to ensure all guests receive timely service.
  • Calculate bills and process payments; maintain accurate sales receipts.
  • Take proactive measures to mitigate issues related to excessive drinking, including ceasing alcohol service when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar, work areas, tables, glasses, utensils, and equipment.
  • Ensure the kitchen and lounge areas are tidy; clean and restock at the end of each shift.
  • Organize and oversee the operations of the lounge/bar area.
  • Prepare fruit for drink garnishes.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses for visually appealing displays.
  • Develop new drink recipes.
  • Conduct weekly inventory of liquor, food supplies, and equipment; order or requisition as needed.
  • Ensure daily maintenance of temperature and waste logs.
  • Inspect foodstuffs and supplies upon receipt to confirm quality and quantity meet standards.
  • Ensure proper reporting of tips for tax purposes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
