Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the functionality of Ready Mix Concrete Plants and related equipment.
  • Be prepared for occasional early shifts.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Engage in daily local travel with a company vehicle provided for operational use.
  • Primarily oversee locations in the northern Indianapolis area.

Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of power transmissions, conveyors, controls, and pneumatic systems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience in welding; electrical skills are a plus.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Assertive, persistent, and maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Effective communication skills with team members, dispatchers, and plant staff.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in the concrete or aggregate industry.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems and automation controls.
  • Background in the construction sector.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical or maintenance role; 5 years preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of welding and electrical systems is advantageous.
