Position Overview

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking enthusiastic seasonal Hosts to become part of our Barrel Yard team at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, managing the host station and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $15.00

Key Responsibilities
  • Review the daily floor plan and reservation book; create an efficient seating chart.
  • Prepare the host station according to established guidelines.
  • Welcome guests and guide them to their tables or waiting areas.
  • Assign seating based on the chart, server rotation, and guest preferences, while providing menus.
  • Manage seating arrangements and wait times effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the host station and contribute to the overall tidiness of dining and bar areas.
  • Inspect dining and service areas to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.
  • Address guest inquiries regarding service and provide assistance as needed.
  • Engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction with food and service, addressing any complaints and notifying management as necessary.
  • Assist with bussing, clearing, and cleaning tables.
  • Support food runners as required.
  • Regularly check restrooms for cleanliness and restock supplies as needed.
  • Answer phone calls during operational hours.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Capable of following procedures and instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to navigate between tables and around corners.
  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Sufficient visual acuity and hearing ability to read seating charts and communicate with guests.
Shift Information

Available shifts include day, evening, holidays, and weekends.
