Key Responsibilities
  • Review the seating plan and reservation book on a daily basis; develop a seating chart.
  • Prepare the host station in accordance with the established checklist.
  • Welcome guests and seat them at tables or in designated waiting areas.
  • Assign seating based on the seating chart, server rotation, and guest preferences while providing menus.
  • Manage seating arrangements and wait times effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the host station and contribute to the overall tidiness of dining and bar areas.
  • Inspect dining and service areas to ensure they are clean and properly arranged.
  • Address any guest inquiries regarding service and provide general assistance to both guests and staff.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, address complaints, notify management as needed, and thank guests upon their departure.
  • Assist with clearing and cleaning tables as necessary.
  • Support food runners as required.
  • Regularly check restrooms for cleanliness and restock supplies as needed.
  • Answer phone calls during operational hours.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on attentiveness.
  • Ability to maintain high energy levels in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Capable of following specified procedures and instructions.
  • Strong communication skills; able to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to navigate between tables and around corners.
  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Sufficient visual acuity and hearing ability to read seating charts and communicate with guests.
