The Area Sales Manager is a key leadership position responsible for driving sales growth and profitability in a designated region. As a seasoned sales professional, you will be accountable for achieving company strategic goals, overseeing a team of sales associates, and ensuring effective execution of retail strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability in the region.
- Lead and manage a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure effective execution of retail strategic plans, high standards of store operation, and compliance with company policies and directives.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the region, building a strong sales team that can drive business results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, including marketing, operations, and finance.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to drive business results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including store managers, district managers, and corporate leadership.
Requirements
- High school degree, college degree preferred.
- Retail experience required, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales management or a related field.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability in a retail environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze sales data and implement data-driven decisions to drive business results.
