Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager will drive sales growth in the C&I market, managing a team of Manufacturer's Representatives to achieve volume growth, price quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in sales strategy discussions and agree to short and long-term goals.
  • Achieve sales targets through proactive management of Sales Rep organizations and market analysis.
  • Relentlessly pursue customer value perception to align the value proposition with buying criteria.
  • Implement measures to achieve sales targets in the assigned regions for the C&I segment.
  • Ensure Manufacturer's Representatives operate in alignment with Hitachi Energy's business processes and core values.
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape in the region.
  • Conduct period reviews and propose recovery plans for potential order shortfalls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or business administration or technical field; advanced degree desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, including experience working with sales/manufacturer's reps.
  • Technical selling aptitude and account management experience required.
  • Experience with salesforce.com and performance managing manufacturer's reps a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in performance managing manufacturer's reps, including measurement of performance against established KPI's.
  • Responsible for sales accounts/region of $10 MUSD or higher.
  • Experience in C&I sales and understanding of Hitachi Energy's C&I segment products and services.
