Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, develop, and schedule the resident services team in accordance with Atria's policies and standards.
  • Establish and uphold a medication management system compliant with state, federal, and company regulations.
  • Conduct assessments and reassessments to identify resident needs and formulate suitable service plans.
  • Manage the Resident Services Department within budgetary constraints while adhering to Atria's policies.
  • Perform daily Quality Enhancement reviews to ensure compliance with state regulations and Atria's standards.
  • Serve as a liaison for resident care-related issues within the community.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable Health and Safety Codes.
  • Schedule and supervise staff, providing coverage as necessary.
  • Administer medications as permitted by state-specific guidelines when required.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
  • Provide training and orientation for new staff members and ongoing education for current employees.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, department heads, and the Executive Director.
  • Support hospitality, leasing, and sales initiatives by promoting a positive image of Atria.
  • Collaborate with the Life Guidance Director on clinical matters and maintain professional relationships with clinical contacts.
  • Assist in supervising and developing staff in line with Atria's policies.
  • Participate in required training sessions for self and team members.
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents' families and healthcare providers.
  • Drive company vehicles as needed for community-related activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or licensed vocational nurse with appropriate state licensure.
  • Experience in direct patient care and clinical assessments.
  • Proven experience in recruiting, training, and managing healthcare personnel.
  • Prior experience at a department head level in Assisted Living or a related field.
  • CPR certification and knowledge of basic first aid required.
  • Experience in coordinating educational initiatives.
  • Completion of Atria's Medication Management training and all required training programs.
  • Must fulfill all state-mandated training for licensure or certification.
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed by the position.
  • Driving responsibilities may be required (company vehicle or personal vehicle).
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Must comply with Atria's motor vehicle policy standards.
