The Environmental Services Technician will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas within the facility, adhering to established protocols and standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Work Experience

2 years - Experience in floor maintenance and general housekeeping

Key Responsibilities

Floor Maintenance
1. Utilize vacuum cleaners for carpet cleaning; operate carpet extractors or bonnet buffers for spot cleaning or deep cleaning carpets.
2. Employ brooms, mops, and buffers to sweep, mop, scrub, strip, and refinish hard surface floors, ensuring they are sanitized and disinfected.
3. Report any damage to carpets and flooring, as well as instances where stain removal is not feasible.
4. Properly mix, apply, and dispose of floor care chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.

Maintain and store floor care equipment correctly; operate cleaning machinery as per instructions; replace belts and bags, and perform minor repairs; report major mechanical issues to the supervisor.


Safety and Compliance
1. Adhere to personal protective equipment requirements as per hospital policies, and follow universal safety precautions.
2. Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies.
3. Notify management of any unsafe conditions in the work environment.
4. Follow isolation protocols as necessary.

Event Preparation
1. Move furniture and equipment as instructed, using proper body mechanics.
2. Execute room setup and breakdown for special events as directed.

Additional Responsibilities
1. Complete a report detailing tasks accomplished during each shift.
2. Participate in mandatory departmental training sessions on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
3. Use a pallet jack to transport supplies from the loading area to the storage room.

General Expectations
1. Arrive and leave work punctually.
2. Maintain a consistent attendance record.
3. Adhere to scheduled meal breaks and return on time.
4. Wear the designated uniform.
5. Ensure the uniform is clean and free from debris or odors.
6. Wear the complete uniform daily.

Position:
Full-Time Salary Range: 37,673.60
