Position Overview:
The Heavy Equipment Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of machinery, including light-duty vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, and drilling rigs. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to perform repairs in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on various equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks and repairs on trucks, trailers, and drilling rigs.
- Perform state and federal inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the Shop Manager and other team members to maintain communication regarding repair needs and equipment status.
- Document all maintenance activities and repairs accurately for compliance and record-keeping purposes.

Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in mechanical repair, focusing on heavy equipment.
- Proficient in hydraulics, diesel engines, and welding techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various physical conditions.
- Capability to maneuver in confined spaces and stand for extended periods.
