To further our ambitious growth and expansion into cutting-edge technologies and international markets, we are seeking a Senior Vice President of Aerospace Operations. In this pivotal role, you will manage all facets of our aerospace and space business unit, encompassing proposal management, order fulfillment, manufacturing engineering, supply chain oversight, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate in the formulation, coordination, and execution of the comprehensive business strategy, including organizational design, capital investment, product innovation, technological advancements, and future growth initiatives.
  • Supplier Management: Identify and implement best practices for managing third-party suppliers in aerospace and defense, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and establish annual, quarterly, and monthly objectives, including business strategies, improvement initiatives, operational KPIs, growth targets, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Operational Leadership: Act as a vital member of the senior operations management team, collaborating with peers to achieve overarching company goals.
  • Manufacturing Excellence: Drive the growth of the business unit while ensuring competitive on-time delivery and exceptional quality, paired with outstanding customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the aerospace and space team through engineering assessments, technical sales support, order processing, and issue resolution.
  • Engineering Oversight: Supervise the Aerospace and Space Manufacturing Engineering team, managing post-order design for manufacturing, sourcing strategies, and complex order fulfillment.
  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with clients and partners to ensure satisfaction and foster strong relationships.
  • Process Improvement: Initiate systems and manufacturing automation projects aimed at reducing operational costs and enhancing equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Quality Assurance: Create, implement, and uphold Quality Management Systems, operational manuals, and safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Supplier Development and Data Insight teams to support key initiatives and problem-solving efforts.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the Product Development team to enhance systems for improved efficiency and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a minimum of 5 years in aerospace and space sectors.
  • Proven leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing engineers and business leaders.
  • Strong communicator and morale builder, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in science and technology sectors.
  • Proficient in formulating and executing strategic objectives.
  • Exceptional business acumen, balancing short- and long-term profitability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with enterprise-level ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with both startups and established companies.
