Position Overview

Peterson Trucks is currently seeking a skilled Front Counter/Back Counter Parts Sales professional.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Front Counter/Back Counter Parts Sales professional will be tasked with overseeing and delivering sales support to Peterson Trucks' retail clientele. Engagement will occur through both direct and indirect methods. This role entails generating parts sales through in-person interactions, phone inquiries, and outbound communications. Additionally, the Front Counter/Back Counter Parts Sales professional will collaborate with the sales team to enhance existing customer relationships, facilitate lead generation, and assess leads from various indirect sources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following outlines the essential functions of this role, though it does not limit the tasks that may be assigned. Management may allocate or reassign responsibilities as necessary. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting a minimum of 25 outbound calls weekly.
  • Addressing the needs of walk-in customers to meet sales targets.
  • Collaborating with Marketing and Sales Representatives to identify and engage qualified customers.
  • Reaching out to potential customers to assess their needs, present product details, and explain current promotions and services. Providing informational materials to assist in customer decision-making.
  • Evaluating leads efficiently to determine the appropriate response or escalation to sales management.
  • Adhering to all sales protocols and procedures.
  • Working with management to ensure marketing initiatives target suitable retail opportunities.
  • Assisting with customer feedback surveys as required.
  • Maintaining consistent and reliable attendance.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills, including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation abilities when interacting with customers and colleagues, while remaining calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Respectfully following guidance from supervisors and management.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, along with a minimum of one year of sales experience, preferably in a heavy industrial setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS and LICENSES

Occasional driving of company or personal vehicles for work-related tasks may be required, necessitating a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.

The compensation for this position ranges from $30.63 to $35.00, with opportunities for additional commission. A comprehensive compensation package is also offered alongside the base salary.
