Job Summary

The Assistant Banquet Manager is a key member of the banquet team, responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Assist in planning and coordinating banquet events, including menu planning, vendor management, and logistics.
    • Ensure that all event details are accurately communicated to staff and clients.
    • Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Staff Management
    • Supervise and train banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and coordinators.
    • Ensure that all staff members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
    • Address any staff issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Client Relations
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external vendors.
    • Ensure that all client needs and requests are met in a timely and professional manner.
    • Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, reporting, and budgeting.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports, including event details, staff performance, and client feedback.
    • Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in hotel banquets or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
