Regional Bulk Material Handling Sales Engineer

Purvis Industries is a leading distributor of industrial products, and we are seeking a sales-focused product and application expert to lead our bulk material handling efforts. As a Regional Bulk Material Handling Sales Engineer, you will work with our field sales personnel to grow our sales in unit handling conveyors and systems for new and existing customers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of bulk material handling principles and creative problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for providing technical advice and assistance on product selection and sizing, creating proposals, and assisting in proposals with suppliers and team members. Additionally, they will support our internal engineering design teams in assisting in the design and application of bulk material handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly participate in sales efforts to close orders
- Coordinate bulk material handling with various Branches and Regional Managers
- Identify target accounts and prospects
- Work with the marketing team to produce marketing materials and events promoting unit and package handling
- Provide marketing suggestions for social media posts and other digital content
- Utilize AutoCAD, Solidworks, and manufacturer-provided software such as HEROES or HyCAD
- Provide advanced-level technical application support via phone, video conference, or in person
- Stay current on new products and technologies and educate Customers and Purvis Team Members about these new developments
- Determine final disposition of warranty claims and work with suppliers to resolve difficult cases
- Produce and present technical training for Customers and Purvis Team Members about bulk material handling products
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of bulk material handling principles and creative problem-solving
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Good driving record
- Prefer a B.S. in Engineering or Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of bulk material handling work
