Position Summary
The Customer Service Sales Specialist is pivotal in promoting our services and maintenance agreements to both new and existing clientele, focusing on Material Handling Equipment (MHE). This role is ideal for a proactive individual who excels in business development and possesses a strong sales acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the complete sales cycle, identifying potential clients, providing tailored solutions, negotiating terms, and finalizing agreements.
- Serve as a knowledgeable consultant, assisting partners in addressing their unique business challenges and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with senior management to formulate effective strategies for expanding the customer base.
- Engage with the sales team to exchange insights, strategies, and best practices for business development.
- Utilize Sales Force to maintain visibility and effectively communicate activities within the designated territory.
- Explore social selling opportunities to enhance outreach and engagement.
- Participate in training programs and accompany experienced team members to gain practical skills.
- Prepare specifications and service expectations in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Calculate job costs and market-based pricing for various solutions.
- Focus on sales initiatives including Preventative Maintenance, Field & Shop Service, Rental Equipment, Forklift Safety Training, and both new and used MHE sales.
- Generate order activity to support sales forecasts through proactive prospecting and market development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cold calling sales.
- At least 3 years of customer service experience.
- A minimum of 2 years in Industrial Equipment or Construction Sales is preferred.
- A Bachelor's Degree is advantageous.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and possess reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while driving.
- Capability to navigate customer job sites, which may involve climbing ladders and accessing equipment.
- Physical activities may include stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
- Frequent use of communication devices and tools is necessary.
- Must be adaptable to various work environments, including outdoor conditions where safety gear is required.
