Position Overview:

The Senior Project Manager is pivotal in orchestrating, guiding, and energizing teams to achieve exceptional performance and quality in project delivery, ensuring timelines and briefs are met. This role may involve overseeing multiple high-profile projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment, collaborating with Creative, Planning, Account Management, and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership and Coordination – Establish project timelines and resource allocation while ensuring consistent and timely delivery of value; lead project meetings; prepare and disseminate progress updates; manage potential risks and issues; adjust plans as necessary; and oversee delivery planning for assigned projects.
  • Creative Development Oversight – Leverage project management expertise to facilitate the cross-agency creative development process, ensuring timely and practical delivery, including brief formulation, resource management, and oversight of creative transitions to production.
  • Team Development and Management – Support the growth of the Creative team while holding members accountable for their responsibilities, removing obstacles to their progress; utilize organizational resources to enhance project capacity; mentor and develop team members. Foster an environment of empowerment, ensuring each member is engaged and contributing meaningfully, while promoting a sustainable work pace with high-quality outcomes.
  • Process Management and Enhancement – Administer and reinforce a well-defined, integrated project management framework and advocate for continuous process improvement initiatives to uphold best practices.
  • Mentorship and Guidance – When departmental structure permits, oversee Junior to Mid-Level Project Managers; conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide mentorship and guidance, perform annual performance evaluations, and facilitate constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of creative project life cycles
  • Proficient in project management principles and practices, with the ability to adapt them to meet diverse project needs.
  • Experience in leading multi-functional project teams
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within an advertising agency
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Smartsheet, and Adobe Workfront is advantageous
