Role Overview

The Lead Compliance Strategist will play a crucial role within the Core senior management team, collaborating strategically with the Standish team to develop and enhance a premier specialized compliance service offering. This position involves leading a team of Compliance Officers, Associates, and Analysts to deliver outstanding compliance services. The Lead Compliance Strategist will engage extensively with clients, gaining in-depth knowledge of their operations to provide customized and proactive compliance support, allowing clients to concentrate on their core business while leveraging Core to establish and maintain robust compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide client service teams in the administration of compliance programs, including the preparation of compliance manuals, risk assessments, monitoring, testing, and annual compliance reviews.
  • Build and maintain expertise by staying informed on developments in the private fund industry, SEC regulations, and compliance best practices.
  • Serve as a strategic leader, responsible for expanding Core's regulatory and compliance services and business operations.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work products in accordance with company standards.
  • Recruit, train, and develop Core team members, fostering a collaborative and effective team environment.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Proven leadership experience in developing and managing effective teams.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of Core and Standish.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new software.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expert knowledge of the investment management and private fund sectors, along with regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
