Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and review the work of staff accountants to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review lease compliance and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare CAM, tax billings, and operating escalations, and maintain books and records for properties.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and prepare year-end work papers for tax accountants.
  • Record activity at the property level via journal entries and manage cash distributions.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, including project cost accounting and financial analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, combined with 5 years of commercial real estate accounting experience or comparable public accounting experience.
  • High proficiency in Excel and expertise in Yardi, MRI, or related real estate software programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
