Job Title: Loan Servicing Representative II

Are you looking for a challenging role in banking operations where you can utilize your analytical skills and attention to detail? We are seeking a Loan Servicing Representative II to join our team at Provident Bank.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for performing high-level maintenance and departmental audit functions on commercial loans, commercial real estate loans, construction loans, ready reserve, and small business loans. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of transaction processing related to commercial, residential, and consumer loan portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with managing various servicing activities, including application of funds, payment of real estate taxes, and customer inquiries on commercial, residential, and consumer loan portfolios.
  • Evaluate and resolve high-priority or complex issues through communication and negotiation with customers.
  • Set up borrower and financial information for entire portfolio of new loan closings on the Horizon system.
  • Read and interpret loan documents and approvals for verification of system accuracy.
  • Track future interest rate adjustments and verify accuracy of system-generated letters for compliance with loan documents.
  • Alert management of any upcoming changes that may need special attention.
  • Process loan modifications, including extensions of maturity, interest rate adjustments, borrower transfers, etc.
  • Administer real estate tax escrow disbursement report for prevention of negative escrow transactions.
  • Directly contact local municipalities as needed for clarification of amounts due and resolving any discrepancies regarding borrower real estate tax payments.
  • Respond to borrower inquiries for reconciliation of escrow transactions.
  • Handle entire monthly billing process, including assuring that all commercial account bills are generated and mailed to customers.
  • Adhere to finest quality control standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Interpretation of all loan documentation
  • Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas and report facts
  • Working knowledge of Horizon System, PC skills, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to create Excel spreadsheets and utilize formulas for creating bills and various reports
  • Take ownership of workflow and resolve problems with minimal to no supervision
  • Ability to multi-tasking is imperative
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical background required
Working Conditions:

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate.

Mainly those present in a normal office setting.
