About the Role

Workday, Inc. is seeking a seasoned communications professional to join our team as an Executive Communications Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with our top executives to develop and execute a strategic communications plan that showcases our customer experience and go-to-market story across various audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive executive communications program that aligns with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with our Chief Customer Officer, Co-President, and President of Global Sales to create and execute a thought leadership platform and engagement strategy.
  • Work closely with executives and other key stakeholders to plan, write, edit, and distribute various communication materials, including blogs, video scripts, and keynotes.
  • Drive keynote development and provide strategic guidance on messaging, tone, and speaker delivery.
  • Partner with executives and their teams to develop internal messaging and presentations for company updates, key initiatives, industry issues, and other topics.
  • Develop messaging that informs our external narrative and supports executives on external-facing activities, such as media briefings, customer-facing events, and industry speaking opportunities.
  • Cultivate and grow our brand voice, using humor and fun to engage and inform, while working closely with other teams within Marketing to ensure a consistent brand experience.
  • Collaborate with the design team to guide the development of corresponding visuals and slides that illustrate key points and help executives engage audiences.
  • Partner with other teams and stakeholders within Corporate Communications, Marketing, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Customer Experience, and Global Revenue leadership to ensure tight alignment of messages and narratives.
About You

We're looking for a seasoned communications professional with a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic communications plans. You should have:

  • 12+ years of experience in corporate communications and marketing, including executive communications experience, in a fast-paced, high-tech company.
  • 12+ years of writing and editing experience for a broad spectrum of multimedia communication channels.
  • A demonstrated ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging and write in a simple, direct, warm, and friendly tone.
  • A high degree of flexibility, with the ability to prioritize simultaneously.
  • An innovative mindset, always looking for ways to improve how we communicate with and engage audiences.
  • Specific knowledge in selling and deploying enterprise software, including understanding the strategy and concepts behind each.

The annualized base salary ranges for this role are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
