About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Operations to join our team at AvAirPros. As the Managing Director of SFOTEC, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and business affairs of the company, ensuring the success of SFOTEC and its stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and oversight to SFOTEC personnel in the Operations, Equipment and Facility Maintenance, Strategy and Planning, Finance and Accounting departments.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain key relationships with the SFOTEC Executive Committee, Member Airlines, Non-Member Airlines, Contractors and Service Providers, Airport Authority, and other government agencies.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure SFOTEC achieves Key Performance Indicators as committed in the International Terminal Equipment and Maintenance Operating Agreement (EMO) with SFIA.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and drive the strategic direction of SFOTEC under the direction and/or in conjunction with the Chairperson and Executive Committee.
  • Representation: Represent SFOTEC in regular meetings with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Financial Planning: Develop annual operating and financial plans for coordination and approval of the SFOTEC Executive Committee.
  • Growth and Development: Explore and assess opportunities to drive growth and make recommendations to SFOTEC leadership balancing any potential financial return and strategic value.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience in commercial aviation.
  • Education: BA/BS Accounting, Business, or Finance; MA/MS or MBA a plus.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of and management experience in commercial aviation, naturally collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, strategic thinking and planning, and strong understanding of market dynamics.
  • Success: Demonstrated success in driving business growth and skilled at managing people/teams.
