Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Custodial Services Manager to oversee custodial operations for a significant government agency. This role is vital in managing a team dedicated to delivering a broad spectrum of operational support services across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for all custodial service needs at various government facilities.
  • Lead and supervise custodial personnel across multiple shifts, ensuring effective management of staff.
  • Develop and implement work schedules, directing tasks while ensuring staff are well-trained in safe custodial practices.
  • Conduct inspections, generate reports, and present findings to the management team.
  • Ensure the security of equipment and facilities, reporting any incidents or hazardous conditions to senior management.
  • Manage inventory and develop purchase requests for cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure custodial operations meet quality, safety, and service standards.
  • Foster a strong relationship with clients to ensure mutual benefits in service delivery.
  • Engage regularly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to discuss operational performance and logistics.
  • When necessary, create and implement corrective action plans to restore service levels to meet contract requirements.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports and evaluations to clients and higher management.
  • Maintain discipline among staff and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing custodial services in a large, secure facility environment.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience managing both in-house and subcontracted staff.
  • Familiarity with labor unions and service contracts is advantageous.
  • A degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of facility maintenance and operations is desired.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
