Job Title: Facilities Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:

EMCOR Government Services is in search of a Facilities Operations Coordinator to assist in our facilities management initiatives. This role is crucial within a dedicated team of professionals delivering a broad spectrum of base operations support services, including facility operations, maintenance, security, logistics, and project management across various government facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversees and organizes the construction and renovation of facilities, which entails:
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to create and maintain resource-loaded project timelines.
    • Assisting in the development of preliminary cost assessments and project budgets.
    • Engaging with clients, designers, and contractors to facilitate the design and completion of approved projects.
    • Working closely with space planners to develop and implement effective space utilization strategies.
    • Supporting the formulation of equipment and furniture specifications and installation plans.
    • Conducting evaluations and follow-ups on projects.
    • Preparing pre-programming documents to aid in decision-making processes.
    • Participating in ongoing construction updates and status meetings.
    • Collaborating with project estimators to ensure comprehensive scope definitions and budget clarity prior to project initiation.
  • Fosters and maintains effective relationships with clients to promote mutually beneficial business interactions.
  • Conducts regular meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to review construction activities, performance metrics, schedules, and budgets.
  • When necessary, formulates and supports the implementation of corrective action plans to address project deficiencies in accordance with contract stipulations.
  • Generates and submits performance reports and evaluations to clients and higher management.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a current Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities planning, successfully managing projects within established cost, schedule, and performance parameters.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of facilities maintenance and operations, including complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, structural systems, and data center operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with a recognized Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); familiarity with ARCHIBUS is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) tools, such as AutoCAD, and experience collaborating with architectural and design teams is highly desired.
  • Strong leadership, management, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Proven ability to lead and manage in a diverse and dynamic environment, especially under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
  • Experience working with labor unions and service employees under the Service Contract Act is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and relevant codes and regulations is preferred.
  • Experience managing projects within secure facilities is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Facility Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural), or a related field is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
