This role is pivotal in collaborating with the firm's General Counsel, Legal Ethics Committee, attorneys, and various administrative levels, as well as members of the Conflicts and Compliance Department. The primary focus is on the examination and formulation of client engagement agreements while ensuring adherence to the policies and procedures established by firm leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct thorough reviews of non-standard engagement agreements and client engagement terms to secure approval from firm leadership, including the General Counsel and Legal Ethics Committee;
- Support the manager and supervisor by acting as a primary contact for inquiries related to client engagement terms from Hogan Lovells attorneys and support staff, as well as other business service units;
- Assist managers and conflicts analysts in identifying, addressing, and resolving conflicts of interest associated with client engagement terms;
- Develop proficiency in the use of Conflicts Databases;
- Provide assistance to the Conflicts and Compliance Department with research and analysis related to conflicts, which may include various administrative tasks such as proofreading and filing;
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Ability to foresee and resolve procedural challenges;
- Strong organizational, analytical, and writing capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred;
- Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred;
- Experience with 3E and Intapp is advantageous;
- Two to three years of legal experience is preferred;
- A minimum of one year of experience in analysis and resolution is required.
- Ability to work independently;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Supportive of the firm's administrative and departmental processes.
- Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including a lunch break. Flexibility to work additional hours is required.
