The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Client Benefits Specialist, CHE. In this role, you will provide critical services to clients, including Cuban/Haitian Entrants (CHEs), and support Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) programs funded by the Kentucky Office for Refugees (KOR) and other public benefits.

You will represent the IRC and collaborate closely with KOR, DCBS, other implementing agencies, local stakeholders, and service providers to ensure comprehensive and required services are provided to IRC clients. This includes reviewing benefit applications for accuracy, making eligibility determinations, and preparing enrollment documents.

As a Client Benefits Specialist, CHE, you will also conduct monthly redetermination meetings to track and plan participation in employment services, prepare case closure documentation, and maintain meticulous documentation to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide services to clients, including Cuban/Haitian Entrants (CHEs)
  • Support Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) programs funded by the Kentucky Office for Refugees (KOR) and other public benefits
  • Represent the IRC and collaborate with KOR, DCBS, other implementing agencies, local stakeholders, and service providers

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field preferred
  • Relevant professional experience in human services required; fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Fluency in Spanish required
  • Working knowledge of public assistance programs in Kentucky preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial management and grant compliance preferred
